GREAT NEWS!!!!!! I have found a local person to take over the duties of serving the data for the Portola Cam. He is in the process of rounding up the necessary items to get his system up and running! I hope to be able to work with him in the next week or so to get the template files to him and get the data flowing!

Portola CA is located at 5000 feet in Plumas county nestled in the Sierra, about 50 miles from Reno NV and 40 miles from Truckee CA. It is at the headwaters of the Feather River along Highway 70. Portola has about 2000 residents, it is a small comfortable community with clean air, water and blue skies. It is the home of the Feather River Railroad Museum, which is a major Rail Fan attraction. The Museum offers the opportunity to operate a real locomotive on their rail line. Fishing along the river and in the nearby lake Davis, wildlife and bird watching, camping, hiking and mountain biking are some of the attractions for the spring, summer and fall.
